Compare like-for-like purchases

Use the landed cost
For an international purchase, check the quoted currency, shipping terms and whether taxes or destination charges are included. Do not assume an advertised item price is the amount you will ultimately pay. Verify current terms on the platform for your exact order.
Returns and communication matter
Find out where a return must go and who handles a problem. Keep the product specification and correspondence. A familiar brand name alone does not settle the return cost or the seller’s obligations for a particular order.
