Buying electronics online in South Africa: compare the exact model
Check model numbers, specifications, accessories and compatibility before buying a phone or electronic device.

A product name is not always a specification
A phone or pair of headphones may be sold in several versions. Compare the model number, storage, connection type and included accessories. If the listing does not give a critical specification, ask for it rather than guessing from a picture.
Compatibility first
For a phone, check the connectivity you need and whether your current accessories fit. For a monitor, check input connections and the resolution supported by your computer. For a charger, check the device requirements and connector; physical fit alone does not establish suitability.
Read condition and warranty information
Find out whether the item is new, refurbished or used and what warranty documentation is supplied. Do not assume a brand logo guarantees a particular local warranty. Keep the invoice and packaging while you check the product and read the applicable returns terms.
Use Planet24 listings as the source
Compare the actual specifications and seller details on Planet24. Sample products shown while the catalogue is being loaded are examples, not evidence of live stock. Seller-managed transport is included nationwide, but it does not replace checking whether the right model is available.
